Mountain - Fog | 山・霧

The black-and-white Chinese landscape painting dates back a thousand years, shaping many Chinese artists' creative perception toward the natural and spiritual world. Lu Yanpeng's photographic works could be felt as if they were actually prose, composed in the time-honored Chinese painting style. The images of natural landscapes, temples and Buddhas quietly surface in fog, raising questions about the world we all live in. Rich with timeless quality, "Mountain - Fog" would conjure a transcendental conversation in the viewer's mind.
Seisodo's boxed edition comprises a selection of 20 images from the "Mountain - Fog" series, which is ongoing since 2010. Lu worked in the dark room to create solemn, poetic imagery with silver halide prints. This edition is highly successful in reproducing Lu's original prints, with the aid of the most advanced technology.
The limited edition of 800 copies was made, with each one numbered and signed by the photographer. Unbound, each of the 20 prints can be readily framed for viewing.
